Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple

Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple

19 Ceylon Road, 429613
Its history dates back to 1875 when a Tamil pioneer built a small temple under a Senpaga tree, where a statue of the Lord Vinayagar (also called Ganesha, the Elephant God) was said to be found. The temple was rebuilt after damages done during World War II. The 21-meter-high Gopuram makes it one of the tallest Indian temples in Singapore. The temple was marked as a historic site by the National Heritage Board in 2003.
